To support the processing of funding applications for Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs), the Department of Housing, Local Government, and Heritage (DHLGH) has issued a Circular 35/2024 outlining essential criteria that must be met before any application for funding will be considered:

In accordance with the DHLGH Circular, only those AHBs meeting these minimum requirements will be eligible for consideration of funding applications.

Investigations

The AHB must not have any ongoing investigations into its operations under Part 5 of the Housing (Regulation of Approved Housing Bodies) Act 2019. There are currently no ongoing investigations being conducted under this Act.

Non-compliance with the Act

The AHB must have submitted its most recent Annual Monitoring Form, as required by AHBRA.  A list of AHBs that did not submit the 2024 AMF  (being the most recent) in accordance with AHBRA’s requirements is available here.

The Register

The AHB must be entered on the statutory AHB Register, and must not have any compliance entry made against it under Part 4 of the Housing (Regulation of Approved Housing Bodies) Act 2019.

Concerns

Concerns may be submitted to AHBRA in relation to potential non-compliance with the Housing (Regulation of Approved Housing Bodies) Act 2019
