CEO Announcement
The Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority (AHBRA) has announced that its CEO Susanna Lyons will be stepping down from her role in April 2024.
AHBRA Chair, Edward Lewis commented: “Susanna has made a substantial contribution to establishing AHBRA and embedding a strong regulatory framework for the AHB Sector. Over the past three years, the Regulator has benefitted from her broad experience in strategy, leadership, and regulation. We thank Susanna for her contribution and wish her every success in the future.”
Ms. Lyons stated ‘It has been a real honour and an extraordinary learning experience to introduce a new Regulator. It was a privilege to lead a wonderful team, to see AHBRA grow into a strong and capable organisation and to work with such a professional Board. We achieved a lot in a short time, and I have no doubt the Regulator will continue to go from strength to strength’.
The AHBRA Board will shortly commence a recruitment campaign for a replacement Chief Executive.
Ms. Lyons was appointed CEO following AHBRA’s establishment on 1 February 2021. Prior to that Susanna was the Head of Regulation in the Housing Agency focusing on the provision of voluntary regulation. Prior to that, Susanna worked in the private sector for over two decades where she held senior financial and risk positions in both banking and industry.
